After the Cardinals suffered their 5th consecutive loss on Sunday, bringing their season record down to a dismal 1-7, fans took to social media to voice their demands for Arizona to turn to Clayton Tune while Kyler Murray remains sidelined.
Although the Cardinals aren’t in a playoff contention position, there comes a point where their performance becomes a source of embarrassment.
Over the past four weeks, Joshua Dobbs has thrown five interceptions and averaged less than 190 passing yards per game.
What initially seemed like a promising start has taken a sharp turn for the worse.
Despite Head Coach Jonathan Gannon’s announcement that Dobbs will start in Week 9, fans are relentless in their calls for rookie QB Clayton Tune to take the helm on Sunday.
Tune was drafted in the 5th round of the 2023 draft by Arizona, and it briefly appeared as though he would secure the opening week starting job.
However, just weeks before the regular season started, the Cardinals brought in Joshua Dobbs to take over, leaving Tune with just one snap so far this year.
If Clayton Tune can’t do better than this he doesn’t belong on an NFL roster

Next Sunday, the Arizona Cardinals will face the Cleveland Browns, a team that has allowed the fewest passing yards per game in the NFL.
